FAQs

Do I need a referral?

A medical referral is not required to see a physiotherapist at Physio Interactive unless you are claiming the injury through a third party provider, e.g. Workcover, Third Party Insurance, Medicare or Veterans Affairs.

Does private health insurance cover my treatment?

This will depend on your policy. Most policies with ancillary or extras cover will provide a rebate for physiotherapy. At Physio Interactive you can process your health claim immediately using HICAPS.

Does Medicare cover my treatment?

Medicare does not generally cover physiotherapy. However the recently introduced Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) scheme now permits doctors to approve up to five allied health services per year on referral. Please discuss this option with either your physiotherapist or treating doctor.

Do you treat Workcover and Third Party Accident patients?

Yes we do. All Workcover and Third Party Accident patients are required to have a referral from their treating doctor. On your initial visit, our friendly admin team will ask you for your claim details in order to bill your WorkCover agent or Third PArty Accident Insurer.

What are the terms for payment and cancellation?

Payment in full is required at the time of consultation. Cash, cheque, EFTPOS, visa and mastercard are accepted. If you need to cancel your appointment we request that you provide at least 24 hours notice if possible to avoid a charge for the time you reserved.

How long does an appointment take?

Initial physiotherapy consultations are 45 minutes. Follow up standard consultations are 30 minutes, and extended consultations for multiple areas are 45 minutes.

Can I make appointments via email?

No. We request that you phone the clinic to make or change an appointment.

What do I bring to my appointment?

Please bring any referral letters and relevant test results such as x-rays, MRI or CT reports.

What should I wear?
